Home remittance
If you prefer not to use PakRemit (NBP New York's internet-based home remittance service), NBP also offers Home Remittance services through telegraphic transfer to remit funds to your family and friends EXCLUSIVLY through its Washington D.C. Branch. The Address and contact information of NBP Washington D.C. branch is as follows:

NBP Washington D.C. branch offers the following Home Remittance Services:
  1. Walk in Service :
    You may personally visit our Washington DC Branch where you will be assisted by our staff for your remittance. Documents required for this purpose are listed below.


  2. OR

  3. Mail-in Service :
    You may also mail in your completed Home Remittance application to our Washington DC Branch at the above address for processing and your receipt will be mailed back to your address on our records.


  4. For both the above services, NBP will require the following documents.
    (Incomplete/Old forms or lack of documentation / information may cause delays in processing or rejection of your remittance application.)

    • Completed Home Remittance Application form with Valid Social Security Number
    • Clear and visible copy of a valid U. S. government-issued photo identification with address
    • Proof of current address (if different from above ID)
    • Cashier's Check or Postal Money Order Payable to National Bank of Pakistan (PMOs are only acceptable for remittance of US$ 1,000.00 or less. For amounts greater then US$ 1,000.00 please send cashier check)Personal checks are not acceptable
    • Evidence of source of funds for remittance of US$ 25,000.00 or above

    NEW FEATURE : - If you are an Existing customer and NBP has already assigned you a Remitter ID, please use the “ Existing Customer Form”. Existing Customers are not required to send their ID's along with remittance application, unless the same are expired or address is changed.

  5. Wire Transfers through U.S. Banks:

You can wire transfer the funds to our New York Branch from your account with any U.S. bank using NBP's ABA / Routing # 026 004 72 1 for onward remittance to a beneficiary in Pakistan holding a US$ or Pak Rupee account with National Bank of Pakistan. Your payment must include our charges and the instructions from your U.S. bank must contain the following information.
    1. Remitter's complete name and address
    2. Final beneficiary's complete name & address, Bank Name & Complete address of Branch,and Bank account information
    3. Purpose of remittance.
